I Choose Love!

Recently, I stopped to think about what superpower I would choose. When I was younger, I think it would have been something different. It isn’t like I haven’t heard the question before. I just don’t remember what I might have answered.

According to Wikipedia, a superpower is a state with a dominant position characterized by its extensive ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale.

Today, in clear thought, my answer is love. I would choose love to be my superpower.

Through my contemplation of why love would be my go-to superpower I thought about the attributes of love.

Love is stronger than concrete which crumbles over time under weight and pressure.

Love is solid unlike steel which can be melted under extreme fire.

Love is sturdier than diamonds which can be chipped away at with small tools of the crafter.

Love is more powerful than the energy of the sun without which life would wither and die.

Love is truer than the wisdom of the ancients as knowledge alone is insufficient.

Love only has one enemy, fear, and yet love will still conquer fear, making love the greatest of all.
